Prairie Heart

Prairie Heart is the mayor of Cherrywood in the Earth territory. She's the matriarch of the Cherry Family, but spends more time in city hall than on the farm.

Appearance

Prairie Heart is a slightly chubby Earth pony mare. Her coat is warm pink, with light markings: a heart on her forehead, freckles, the insides of her ears, a cloud-like appaloosa blanket, and cloudy socks on her front right and back left legs. Her legs have a slightly dark pink gradient marking. Her nose is also slightly darker pink. She has dark red hooves, and her feathers are short with a little curl over each hoof.

Her mane and tail are made of large curls. The base color is blonde, with pink, dark pink, and red. She has poofy blonde bangs in the front, with one pink streak. Her eyebrows and eyelashes are also blonde. She has a dark red bow on her tail. Her eyes are blue.

Her Cutiemark is a heart-shaped lattice cherry pie, surrounded by dark red hearts.

Her ankle heart is dark red.

Personality

Being the boss of Cherrywood, one of the largest Earth towns, requires Prairie Heart to be tough. She doesn't take any nonsense from anypony, and runs her town with a firm but respectful hoof. She's very sweet and kind, but do not cross her.

At same time, she's a family pony. The extended Cherry family is very important to her, though she can't always make time for them. Being mayor is a lot of work, and its not something she's predisposed to understanding; her special talent is baking, not politics. Therefore, she's often stressed and a bit short-tempered.

Biography

Prairie Heart is a member of the Cherry family, who founded Cherrywood and have run the town longer than anypony can remember. At times, there has been a sort of feud betweent the Cherrys and the Apples, but at the moment there is a tentative peace bewteen the two. Still, it is illegal to grow cherries on Apple lands and vice versa. Prairie Heart was officially voted in as Mayor, seeing as she was the most honest and respectable pony in town and everypony has looked to her to solve their problems since.

As a young adult, she was married to Jonagold, a member of the Apple family. However, they divorced several years later. She had moved to live with him in Apple Valley, but returned to Cherrywood after the divorce, and their daughter Pink Lady splits her time between them.

Notable relationships

• Jonagold: They had a good run, but she can't stand him now. She's doing just fine on her own now.
• Pink Lady: She's more than a little miffed about the apple Cutiemark but she loves her daughter.
• Georgie: Absolutely hates him. The point of the council is to help everyone, not just focus on their own individual towns!
