Mizzen

Mizzen is the captain of the Zebra Research Team. He is Skipper's mentor.

Appearance

Mizzen is a average sized Zebra stallion with a white coat and blue stripes. He has three large stripes on his neck and back, with a small circle on his chest. On each front leg, he has two stripes just above his hooves, with a triangular point on the upper stripe. On his back legs, he only has one stripe above each hoof with triangular points on each. His tail is long and leonine, with blue hair on the end, and three thin stripes in the middle.

His mange short and stands up, alternating blue and white stripes. The color is slightly darker than his coat. The front section curls over his face. He has a small scruffy beard. His muzzle is blue and he has stripes under his eyes, with a small dot just beneath that. His eyes are green.

As a zebra, he does not have a Cutiemark or an ankle heart.

Personality

Mizzen is wholeheartedly in love with the sea. He understands tides and winds like no other, which is why he's the captain of the Research team. He feels more at home on a ship than on land, and has little interest in exploring the Continent. He's a rough-and-tumblr, swashbuckling stallion full of boyish charm and fun stories about his travels.

Biography

Mizzen was born on at sea two Zebra scientists, and has lived most of his life on ships. He's one of the few Zebras in the current era who has returned to the homeland.

Notable relationships

• Skipper: How's a sailor supposed to refuse when a young pony wants to learn the ropes? He's quite happy to teach her about the sea and all things nautical.
• Peach Fizz: They're good friends! She matches his energy well.
• Zinnea: They don't really get along, he's too extroverted for her.
• Stargazer: Admittedly he has a little crush on her, but his life/love/lady is the sea.
