Bear Claw

Bear Claw is an Earth pony from Loggers' Hearth.

Appearance

Bear Claw is average size. His coat is grey-green, with dark stripes on his hindquarters and back ankles, and a white tobiano marking that stretches from his front right hoof over his back to his back left leg. He has a white blaze marking. His hooves are dark blue. There are jagged scars on his right shoulder and back left ankle.

His mane is short and fluffy with bangs, and his tail is very short with a darker tuft in the middle. He has facial hair on his chin and jaw, and thick eyebrows.

Due to working long hours in the forest, he is visibly tired all the time with dark bags under his eyes and a semi-permanent scowl.

He wears gold stud earrings. When he's working, he wears a dark red sweater and leather cuffs to protect his forelegs.

His Cutiemark is a fern frond and two white stars.

His ankle heart is dark green.

Personality

He's a stallion of few words. His brow is always furrowed like he's annoyed, and he never seems to relax completely. This is reasonable, since the forest is dangerous... but Honey Bear can sometimes convince him to chill out.

There's a reason Bear Claw lives in Loggers' Hearth. He doesn't like other ponies at all, doesn't like noise or crowded towns. He feels much more at home in the quiet, dark forest with his plants and his axe. And, well, his wife.

Biography

Bear Claw is 1/4 zebra. His family is from Dapple Beach, but he moved to Loggers' Hearth as a young adult.

He met Honey Bear at the market, the only place in Loggers' Hearth where ponies congregate twice a month. She was selling hoof-knitted sweaters, and he needed someone to mend his only coat. She immediately took an interest in him, realizing that beneath his hard exterior he was actually just shy, and pursued him hard for years before he very suddenly proposed to her. They now live together in a cozy cabin he built.

Notable relationships

• Honey Bear: His wife. She's slightly older than him, noticeably taller, and they don't really share any interests, but he's hopelessly in love.
